Mkalama District Executive Director, Ms. Asia Messos, has applauded the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) for its role in improving road infrastructure that has enabled farmers to transport their produce to markets efficiently.
Speaking during her visit to TARURA’s pavilion at the ongoing NaneNane National Agricultural Exhibition at Nzuguni grounds in Dodoma, Ms. Messos said the agency’s work in rural areas is significantly contributing to the government’s efforts to support agricultural development.
"I sincerely commend TARURA for the tremendous work you are doing in rural areas. We are witnesses in our own districts—farmers can now transport their crops and goods more easily from one place to another. This is a major step forward for the government," she said.
She emphasized that improved road connectivity is not only helping farmers reach markets on time but also contributing to the overall economic empowerment of rural communities.
At the exhibition, TARURA is engaging with the public and various stakeholders by offering information and education on the agency’s initiatives. The aim is to enhance understanding and visibility of its projects among citizens and ensure community awareness of its contributions to rural development.
