Mirembe Hospital refutes social media claims on sudden deaths

By The Respondent Reporter

Mirembe National Mental Health Hospital (MNMH) has strongly dismissed social media reports alleging a surge in sudden deaths linked to mental health challenges and attributed to the facility.

In a statement issued on Friday, the hospital clarified that the circulating information did not originate from its management.

“We wish to inform the public that these reports were not released by Mirembe National Mental Health Hospital,” the statement read in part.

The management emphasized that all official announcements from MNMH are published through its verified social media platforms and official website, bearing the name of an authorized officer or medical expert.

The hospital urged the public to disregard any content shared outside these official channels without proper attribution.

“Any information that does not come from our official platforms or lacks the name of an authorized representative should be treated as false,” the hospital stated.

The clarification comes amid growing concerns over misinformation about health-related issues circulating online. MNMH reassured the public of its commitment to providing accurate updates through its trusted platforms.
