Kaliua District Council Executive Director, Shabani Abdallah Kabelwa, has made an unannounced visit to inspect ongoing development projects in Ulyankulu Constituency, Tabora Region.

The visit covered three secondary schools Makingi, Mkindo, and Dr. Charles Msonde where construction of dormitories and classrooms is underway. He also inspected work at Usigala dispensary.

Mr. Kabelwa directed all contractors and supervisors to ensure the projects are completed by October 2025. He said timely delivery of these projects will improve education and health services in the district.

During the tour, he launched the construction of a health center in Ichemba Ward, Mgelela Village.

The project, worth TZS 250 million, will be implemented under the supervision of local residents and experts from the council.

He urged project managers to work quickly so that people in the area can access health services without delays.

Residents expressed their excitement about the health center, saying it will transform their lives as they have lacked such services in the village since independence. They pledged to protect the facility once completed.
