Excitement is building as preparations for a special Kabaddi bonanza continue ahead of tomorrow’s event at the India Cultural Centre in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.
The bonanza is organized by the Cultural Centre in collaboration with the Tanzania Kabaddi Association (TKSA), aiming to promote the sport and showcase local talent.
TKSA Chairman Abdallah Nyoni confirmed that several clubs have already committed to participate, including Kaole, Buffalo, Star, Galolile, Kampala University, and Mlamleni. He noted, however, that the Police team has not yet confirmed their participation.
"Preparations are well underway, and the confirmed clubs are ready to compete. We are still waiting to hear from the Police team," Nyoni said.
The main objective of the bonanza, he explained, is to attract sponsors and support Tanzania’s ambition of competing in the Beach Kabaddi World Championships, scheduled to take place in Malaysia.
Tanzania plans to send two national teams one for men and one for women to represent the country on the international stage.
Nyoni emphasized that the bonanza is a crucial step in preparing the teams and building public support for their journey.
With the event set to bring together top local clubs and Kabaddi enthusiasts, it promises to be a lively showcase of skill, teamwork, and national pride.
