Outgoing Member of Parliament for Mbeya Urban and current aspirant for the newly established Uyole Constituency under Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Tulia Ackson, today officially introduced her candidacy to party delegates across several wards in Uyole as part of preparations for the upcoming CCM internal elections, set to take place on Monday, August 4, 2025.
Speaking directly to delegates in Mwakibete, Ilomba, Ilemi, Isyesye, and Itezi wards, Dr. Tulia made a strong case for why she deserves their vote, emphasizing her vision for a leadership centered on the needs of the people.
She pledged to deliver inclusive development, improved public services, and transparent governance that reflects the priorities of the community.
“I am asking for your trust, not just to be your representative, but to be your voice and your tireless advocate,” she said.
“Uyole deserves a leader who listens, who acts, and who fights for the everyday needs of our people.”she added
Dr. Tulia outlined her development agenda with clear priorities: enhancing education and healthcare services, upgrading infrastructure, and investing in programs that improve the overall wellbeing of residents especially women, youth, and vulnerable groups.
With a track record of public service and legislative leadership, Dr. Tulia promised to bring both experience and energy to the role, should she be granted the mandate by CCM delegates and, ultimately, by the people of Uyole.
