Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) parliamentary hopeful for Kibamba Constituency, Angellah Kairuki, has formally submitted her nomination papers to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), moving a step closer to securing a spot on the ballot in this year’s general election.

Kairuki, a seasoned politician, was accompanied by Ubungo CCM candidate Kitila Mkumbo and a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters, including motorcycle and tricycle taxi operators as well as small-scale food vendors popularly known as Mama Ntilie

The supporters cheered and waved party flags as they escorted her to the INEC offices, demonstrating strong grassroots backing.

Speaking after completing the process, Kairuki said she is committed to delivering development across Kibamba’s wards if elected.

“I have the passion and the capacity to serve the people of Kibamba. My focus is to ensure tangible progress that improves the lives of residents,” she said.

She added that her campaign will focus on policy-driven engagement and showcasing the government’s achievements under the CCM manifesto.

“These campaigns will help us communicate what has been done and what we plan to do to make life better. Our aim is to bring sustainable growth and lasting benefits to our people,” she noted.

The move underscores CCM’s preparations to retain its influence in key constituencies, with the party pledging to maintain its development agenda and uphold principles of justice and prosperity for Tanzanians.
