Simba SC part ways with Manula, Ngoma, and Nouma ahead of new season

By Flora Mkoloma

Simba Sports Club has officially bid farewell to three senior players as part of its squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

The club, through its official app, confirmed the departures of goalkeeper Aishi Manula, midfielder Fabrice Ngoma, and defender Valentin Nouma, thanking them for their contributions.

Goalkeeper Aishi Manula leaves after eight successful years at the club. He joined Simba from Azam FC and quickly established himself as a key figure between the posts.

Manula played a crucial role in Simba’s dominance in the domestic league, including being the first-choice goalkeeper during their championship-winning campaigns from 2018 to 2021.

His consistency, leadership, and commitment made him a fan favourite and one of the club’s most reliable performers.

Fabrice Ngoma, a defensive midfielder from the Democratic Republic of Congo, joined Simba from Sudanese giants Al-Hilal in July 2023 on a two-year deal.

Over the past season, Ngoma became a vital part of Simba’s midfield, known for his discipline, tactical awareness, and partnership with Yusuph Kagoma in shielding the defence.

His leadership qualities were recognised when head coach Fadlu Davids named him assistant captain last season.

Valentin Nouma, also from the DRC, joined Simba last season from FC Saint Eloi Lupopo on a three-year contract

. However, after a mutual agreement between both parties, the defender will not be part of the squad moving forward. His short stint did not meet expectations, leading to an early release.

In a related move, Simba has loaned out promising young midfielder Omari Omari to the Tanzania People’s Defence Forces (TPDF) club for one season.

Omari, who was signed from Mashujaa FC, is considered one of the club’s future prospects despite not featuring in the senior team last season. The loan is expected to provide him with valuable playing time and experience.

These changes are part of Simba’s broader restructuring strategy as the club prepares for domestic and continental competitions in the upcoming season.

Fans now await new signings and further developments as the club rebuilds its squad with fresh ambition.
