Abdallah Ponda, a rising boxer from Tabata Makuburi, has boldly declared his intention to defeat his opponent, Adam Peter from Magomeni Kagera, in the upcoming Dar Boxing Derby: Samia Calling Fight, set to take place on July 26, 2025, at the Leaders Club grounds in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking during a high-energy training session, Ponda said he is fully prepared for the fight and sees Adam as a mere stepping stone toward greater achievements in his boxing career.

“I won my debut fight, and now I’m moving on to Adam. You will be my bridge to success,” Ponda stated confidently, signaling his readiness to shake up the local boxing scene.

His fans are equally optimistic. Caroline Daniel, speaking on behalf of Ponda’s supporters, said the boxer’s preparation has inspired strong belief in his ability to hand Adam his first-ever defeat.

“Ponda is training harder than ever. We believe in him, and we’re confident that Adam will have to give up his unbeaten record on fight night,” she said.

The Samia Calling Fight promises a full day of thrilling action, with several intense bouts scheduled. Among the headline fights, Nassibu Ramadhan will seek revenge against Ibrahim Class in what is expected to be a fierce showdown.

Other exciting matchups include Loren Japhet vs. Said Bwanga of Mbagala, and Ramadhan Shauri taking on Issa Nampepeche.
