PM Majaliwa visits belarus factories to boost health, agriculture ties

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa today, July 22, 2025, continued his official visit to Belarus by touring key industries that support health and agriculture two important sectors for Tanzania’s development.

While in the capital city of Minsk, the Prime Minister visited Belmedpreparaty, a leading factory that produces human medicines.

 The visit aimed at exploring opportunities for cooperation to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare in Tanzania.

He also visited the Minsk Tractor Plant, one of the largest manufacturers of modern tractors and agricultural machinery. 

The Tanzanian delegation witnessed advanced technologies used in making equipment that could help boost agricultural productivity back home.


The Prime Minister was accompanied by other senior government officials, including the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Cosato Chumi.

As part of honoring the host country, Majaliwa laid a wreath at the national monument dedicated to the heroes of Belarus.

This visit is part of the government’s broader efforts to build strong partnerships with other countries, bringing back benefits that will help improve essential services and livelihoods for Tanzanians especially in health and agriculture.
