Mbeya City FC target strong comeback and fan revival ahead of NBC Premier League season

Mbeya City Football Club has outlined ambitious plans to strengthen its squad and re-engage its loyal fan base as it returns to the NBC Tanzania Premier League for the 2025/2026 season.

After a successful campaign in the 2024/2025 NBC Championship, the club secured promotion back to the top flight and is now focusing on delivering results that will reaffirm its place among the country’s football elite.

Chief Executive Officer Ally Nnunduma said the club’s main objective is to build a competitive team capable of producing consistent performances and regaining the confidence of its supporters.

“Our goal is to do well in the upcoming season by achieving positive results on the pitch and showing serious intent. Part of that journey includes reconnecting with our fans, especially those who lost interest after we were relegated,” said Nnunduma.

He noted that Mbeya City has always enjoyed a passionate fan base, particularly during its time in the Championship League.

“Now that we’ve earned our place back in the Premier League, we want to bring back our supporters in even greater numbers. Their presence and energy are crucial to our success,” he emphasized.

Nnunduma also revealed that fans, through their respective branches, have already started organizing local bonanzas and meetings with club officials to strategize on how to support the team more effectively next season.

As part of its preparations, the club is set to unveil new official kits on August 10, 2025. The jerseys will be locally produced under a domestic sponsorship deal, reflecting Mbeya City’s commitment to promoting local talent and products.

With renewed momentum and a clear roadmap, Mbeya City is determined to make a strong comeback, both on the pitch and in the stands, as it eyes a successful run in the 2025/2026 Premier League season.
