Mbeya City Football Club has announced open trials for talented youth players under the age of 19, as part of its preparations to form a competitive U-19 squad ahead of the 2025/2026 season.
The trials are scheduled to take place from July 24 to 26 at the Isyesye Grounds in Mbeya. According to the club’s Executive Secretary, Ally Nnunduma, the initiative aims to scout and nurture young talent from across the country.
“We are inviting young players from within Mbeya and other regions to seize this opportunity and showcase their potential,” Nnunduma said.
He noted that the selection process is open to all eligible youth, with no regional restrictions, underscoring the club’s commitment to building a diverse and skilled squad.
“This is a great platform for aspiring footballers to earn a spot in our U-19 team. The door is wide open,” he added.
Nnunduma also pointed out that participants traveling from outside Mbeya will be required to cover their own transportation, meals, and accommodation expenses. All players must come equipped with appropriate sports gear.
Mbeya City’s youth development efforts are part of a broader strategy to invest in grassroots football and strengthen the future of the club through homegrown talent.
