Foby rallies artists and fans to support CHAN 2024 in Tanzania

Renowned Tanzanian music artist Frank Felix, widely known by his stage name Foby, has called on fellow musicians and citizens across the country to unite in promoting the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be hosted in part by Tanzania.

Speaking during a recent promotional campaign, Foby emphasized the critical role artists and entertainers can play in rallying national support and energizing the public ahead of the prestigious continental football tournament.

“This is more than just a sporting event it's a moment of pride for Tanzania. We, as artists, have the platform and the voice to inspire patriotism and bring people together,” said Foby.

 “Let’s use our talents to support our national team and showcase Tanzanian hospitality and culture to the rest of Africa.”he added

He urged creatives to produce music, organize performances, and engage with fans through media and social platforms to keep the tournament in the public eye and foster a celebratory atmosphere across the country.

Foby also pointed to the broader impact CHAN 2024 is expected to have, including boosting local tourism, encouraging youth involvement in sports and the arts, and strengthening Tanzania’s reputation as a capable and welcoming host nation.

Tanzania, alongside Kenya and Uganda, will co-host the CHAN 2024 finals, a major milestone for East African football. 

The tournament features national teams made up exclusively of players active in their respective domestic leagues, making it a vital platform for homegrown talent.

“With unity and enthusiasm, we can make CHAN 2024 unforgettable,” Foby added. “Let’s show the world what Tanzania is made of.”
