Chelsea booked their place in the final with a commanding 2-0 victory over Brazilian side Fluminense, delivering a performance full of authority, precision, and attacking intent.

The Premier League side took control early on, with their pressing game disrupting Fluminense’s rhythm and forcing the South Americans into errors.

The breakthrough came midway through the first half when Pedro capitalised on a defensive lapse to fire Chelsea into the lead with a composed finish.

Fluminense, known for their flair and technical play, attempted to respond with periods of possession and creative build-up, but Chelsea remained compact and disciplined at the back.

Goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic was alert throughout, making a number of crucial interventions to preserve the lead.

Chelsea doubled their advantage in the second half, and once again it was Pedro on the scoresheet. The forward displayed fine movement and composure inside the penalty area to slot home his second of the evening, putting the result beyond doubt.

Pedro’s brace underlined his growing importance to Chelsea’s attack and capped a standout performance for the 26-year-old, whose clinical finishing proved decisive.

Speaking after the match, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca praised his side’s discipline and tactical maturity.

“It was a professional performance from start to finish,” he said. “We controlled the key moments, and the players showed the right mentality throughout.”

The result sees Chelsea through to the final, where they will await the winner of the second semi-final. With silverware now within touching distance, the Blues will look to maintain their momentum and bring home another trophy.

For Fluminense, the defeat marks the end of their campaign, while Chelsea’s sights are firmly set on the final and the opportunity to cap off their tournament with a title.
