In a strong show of grassroots support, residents of the newly established Uyole Constituency in Mbeya Region have taken the initiative to collect a nomination form for Dr. Tulia Ackson, the Speaker of the National Assembly, endorsing her candidacy for Member of Parliament in the October 25, 2025 General Election.

Led by community representative Adil Mwansepele, the group visited the electoral office to pick up the form on Dr. Tulia’s behalf.

Mwansepele said their decision was driven by Dr. Tulia’s longstanding commitment to public service and her unwavering support for the people of Mbeya.

“Dr. Tulia has consistently demonstrated her love and dedication to the people of Uyole. We believe she has the vision, experience, and leadership to drive meaningful change in our community,” said Mwansepele.

He added that residents from across the constituency view Dr. Tulia as a unifying figure and a proven leader who understands the challenges facing citizens and has the national influence to advocate for their development priorities.

Dr. Tulia, a native of the Mbeya Region, currently serves as the Speaker of the National Assembly and is recognized as one of the country’s most influential leaders.

Her expected entry into the Uyole race marks a significant moment in the constituency’s political landscape as it prepares for its first election since being carved from a larger electoral area.

With election campaigns expected to intensify in the coming months, Uyole is poised to be one of the key constituencies to watch in the 2025 General Election.
