The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), in collaboration with the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), is preparing to bring a new level of excitement to this year’s 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), commonly known as Sabasaba.
In a meeting held today at TanTrade's headquarters at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds, TanTrade Director General Ms. Latifa M. Khamis met with Mr. Adam Ng’amba, who represented the President of TFF.
The discussions focused on the Federation’s planned activities during the trade fair, which will be held in July.
TFF is set to fully engage with attendees through a unique sports and entertainment experience. The Federation plans to showcase some of the country’s top football talent by featuring star players from prominent local clubs.
Visitors will have the rare opportunity to meet the players in person, take photos, and interact with them in specially organized sessions.
In addition, the TFF pavilion will offer official national team merchandise, including jerseys and memorabilia, while also providing football education sessions aimed at inspiring youth and promoting the development of the sport across the country.
“This partnership is not just about entertainment,” said Ms. Khamis. “It’s about connecting with the community, creating memorable experiences, and showcasing how sports can drive social and economic growth.”
The collaboration marks a significant step in integrating sports into one of Tanzania’s largest commercial exhibitions, broadening the appeal of the fair to include families, young people, and football enthusiasts from both within and outside the country.
The 49th Sabasaba Trade Fair is expected to attract thousands of local and international visitors, and this year’s edition aims to be more interactive and inclusive, blending business with culture, innovation, and now sport.
