The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has announced that the final two rounds of the NBC Premier League season matchdays 29 and 30 will be played simultaneously, with all fixtures kicking off at 4:00 PM local time.
Round 29 is scheduled for June 18, while the final round will take place on June 22. The decision is aimed at maintaining fairness and competitiveness as clubs across the league fight for the title, continental qualification, and to avoid relegation.
TPLB spokesperson Karim Boimanda said the simultaneous kick-offs are part of efforts to uphold integrity in the final stretch of the season.
“The goal is to ensure that all teams compete under the same conditions and that no side has the advantage of knowing other results in advance,” Boimanda explained.
Among the key fixtures in round 29 are Azam FC hosting Tabora United at Chamazi Complex in Dar es Salaam, Coastal Union facing Fountain Gate at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga, and Tanzania Prisons welcoming league leaders Young Africans (Yanga SC) at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.
Elsewhere, Simba SC travel to face Kengold, Dodoma Jiji play Singida Black Stars in Dodoma, and Pamba Jiji take on JKT Tanzania in Mwanza.
In the decisive round 30, Yanga SC will meet Dodoma Jiji at the KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam, while Azam FC visit Fountain Gate in Singida.
Other fixtures include Coastal Union vs Tabora United, Mashujaa FC vs JKT Tanzania, and Namungo FC against Kengold at Majaliwa Stadium. Singida Black Stars host Tanzania Prisons, and Pamba Jiji face KMC FC, again in Mwanza.
With crucial stakes across the table, from the title race to the relegation battle, the TPLB’s decision reflects a commitment to ensuring transparency and fairness in the league’s conclusion.
