The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) has won the top customer service award for Lindi Region during this year’s Mining Expo 2025, held in Ruangwa District.
The award was presented by Deputy Minister for Minerals, Dr Steven Kiruswa, during the closing ceremony and received by TANESCO’s Acting Regional Manager, Mr Theodory Hall.
Organised by the Ministry of Minerals, the four-day exhibition ran from June 11 to June 14, 2025. It attracted a wide range of participants including small and large-scale miners, investors, government and private institutions, service providers and members of the public.
TANESCO used the platform to showcase its ongoing strategic projects in power generation and distribution.
The company also provided information on its range of services, including initiatives aimed at promoting clean cooking energy through electricity.
The Mining Expo forms part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the mining sector and drive economic growth by enhancing collaboration among key stakeholders, including essential service providers such as TANESCO.
Through its participation, TANESCO reaffirmed its commitment to expanding access to electricity and contributing to the nation’s economic development agenda.
