The 30th round of the NBC Premier League is set to roar into action tomorrow, June 22, 2025, with 16 teams clashing across various stadiums across Tanzania. For 14 of these teams, this will mark the end of their 2024/2025 league campaign.
However, league giants Simba SC and Young Africans SC (Yanga) will wrap up their season a few days later, on June 25.
Simba SC will face off against Kagera Sugar at the KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Simba heads into the fixture in high spirits, having secured a convincing 5–0 win against KenGold in their last match. Kagera Sugar, meanwhile, will be looking to finish strong after a goalless draw with Namungo.
Yanga SC will be in action against Dodoma Jiji at the New Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar. The reigning champions will look to maintain their winning form, while Dodoma Jiji faces an uphill battle to bounce back from a recent defeat.
The round also features several exciting encounters. Azam FC will travel to Babati to take on Fountain Gate at the Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium in Manyara.
Coastal Union will welcome Tabora United to the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga. In Kigoma, Mashujaa FC will host fellow military side JKT Tanzania at Lake Tanganyika Stadium.
Namungo FC will play at home against KenGold at the Majaliwa Stadium in Lindi, while Pamba Jiji will face KMC at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza. In Singida, the local team will meet Tanzania Prisons at the Liti Stadium.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, Azam FC captain Lusajo Mwaikenda expressed his team's readiness to end the season on a positive note.
"We know it’s going to be a tough game, especially since Fountain Gate is very strong at home," he said.
"But we've done enough preparation, and we are giving ourselves a hundred percent chance to win. We are fully ready for tomorrow’s match."he added
