The Mining Commission continues to advance its mission of promoting investment and public participation in Tanzania's mining sector, as part of its active involvement in the ongoing Public Service Week celebrations at Chinangali Grounds, Dodoma.

During a public outreach session at the Commission’s exhibition booth, Mr. Ashen Mwambage from the Directorate of Mines Inspection and Environment emphasized the vast opportunities available within the sector.

These include mineral exploration and extraction, the establishment of value-addition industries, mineral trading, and the provision of essential goods and services to mining operations.

“The Mining Commission invites both local and international investors to collaborate with us in developing this strategic sector. There are many opportunities, including joint ventures in selected mineral licenses,” said Mr. Mwambage.

He further encouraged citizens to visit the Commission’s booth to learn more about how the mining sector operates and how individuals and communities can participate meaningfully whether through employment, entrepreneurship, or service provision.

The Mining Commission remains committed to strengthening governance and development within the mining sector.

By ensuring transparency, promoting responsible investment, and supporting local participation, the Commission aims to increase national revenue and improve the quality of life for Tanzanians.

“This sector holds significant potential to transform our economy. We urge all citizens to stay informed and explore how they can benefit from these opportunities,” Mr. Mwambage added.

As Tanzania continues to unlock the value of its mineral resources, the involvement of its people alongside strategic partnerships—is essential for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.
