The TIC has announced a remarkable surge in investment activity in the Dodoma region, signaling a new era of economic growth and opportunity for local citizens and businesses alike.
According to Mr. Venance Mashiba, TIC’s Central Zone Manager, the region recorded an unprecedented 46 investment projects in 2024 from both local and international investors the highest in its history.
“This year, from January to May 2025 alone, we have already registered 14 new projects. This is a clear sign that our efforts to attract and support investors are yielding positive results,” Mr. Mashiba said during a press briefing held at Chinangali Park, as part of the ongoing Public Service Week celebrations.
The week-long event, which began on June 16 and concludes on June 23, provides an open platform for government institutions to engage with the public and showcase their services.
Mr. Mashiba further revealed TIC's ambitious national target: to register up to 1,500 investment projects by the end of 2025 a major milestone that is expected to create more jobs, expand local industries, and strengthen the country’s economy.
In his remarks, Mr. Mashiba encouraged Dodoma residents and all Tanzanians to actively participate in the exhibitions and learn more about the opportunities TIC offers especially for local entrepreneurs and small business owners.
“This is not just about large investors. We want Tanzanians to be aware that they too can benefit from the services and opportunities available through TIC,” he emphasized.
The Tanzania Investment Centre plays a central role in guiding, facilitating, and supporting investors across sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, real estate, energy, and services.
With its strategic location as the nation's capital, ongoing infrastructure developments, and strong government support, Dodoma is quickly becoming a magnet for investment.
The TIC’s commitment to simplifying processes and encouraging local participation is set to empower more citizens and boost regional development.
Citizens are urged to visit the TIC pavilion at Chinangali Park during Public Service Week to engage directly with officials, ask questions, and explore how they can tap into available investment incentives and programs.
