DART issues alert over fake job and training information

The Dar Rapid Transit Agency (DART) has warned the public about false messages circulating on WhatsApp and social media, claiming that the agency is offering jobs and training opportunities, asking people to send their phone numbers.

In a public notice issued today by Public Communications Unit, DART said the information is not true.

“We have not announced any job or training opportunities that require people to send phone numbers,” said the statement.

DART explained that it does not conduct recruitment or training through social media messages, calling on the public to be cautious and not to share or believe such fake information.

“There is no job or training process going on through that method,” DART warned in the public statement.

The agency added that any official information about employment or training is shared only through its official website, trusted media outlets, and verified social media accounts.

“Let us be alert. Do not fall victim to scams,” said the DART communication team.

DART also reminded citizens that it is not linked to any messages not published on official platforms. It advised people to ignore and report suspicious messages.

“Please be careful and avoid sending your details to unknown sources,” the statement concluded.

The public can contact DART directly through its toll-free number 0800 110 147 or follow official updates on @DARTMwendokasi and DARTTV social media channels.
