The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has announced that beginning with the 2025/2026 season, it will enter into an official partnership with a betting company for all competitions under its governance.
According to Clifford Mario Ndimbo, TFF’s Head of Information and Communications, the selected partner will be granted exclusive rights for a specified period as outlined in the agreement.
Consequently, any organization or individual seeking betting odds for matches overseen by TFF will be required to coordinate with the official partner.
“This partnership will be limited strictly to betting odds and will not involve any broader sponsorship or business collaboration with betting companies,” Ndimbo clarified. “This model is similar to what is used across various European leagues.”
He emphasized that this initiative is expected to generate additional revenue for clubs, especially when their matches are included in the official betting markets.
Ndimbo also pointed out that, despite this exclusive arrangement regarding odds, individual clubs will still be permitted to enter into sponsorship agreements with betting companies. These club-level sponsorships will remain unaffected by the federation’s deal.
He concluded by stating that the process of selecting the official betting partner will be conducted through a competitive bidding process, with details to be announced in due course.
