A working visit to Switzerland by Tanzania's Minister of Health,  Jenista Mhagama, accompanied by Zanzibar’s Minister of Health, Nassor Mazrui, continues to yield positive outcomes, as various international stakeholders express their commitment to supporting Tanzania’s health sector.

In a bilateral meeting with Morocco’s Minister of Health, Amine Tehraoui, the two ministers agreed to deepen collaboration in key areas of healthcare.

These include strengthening maternal and child health services and enhancing local production of pharmaceutical products, including vaccines.

I sincerely thank you for taking the time to meet with us. I am confident that through continued collaboration, we can significantly reduce maternal and child mortality rates. Moreover, we can move toward self-reliance by producing essential medicines and vaccines domestically, reducing our dependence on imports,” said Minister Mhagama.

The agreement marks a significant step in fostering South-South cooperation and reinforces both countries' commitment to building resilient and sustainable healthcare systems.
