Simba Sports Club will depart early Tuesday morning at 5:00 AM for Morocco, where they are set to face RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup final scheduled for May 17, 2025, in Casablanca.

The team will travel aboard a special chartered flight provided by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hamis Mwinjuma, will accompany the squad as they represent the nation in what promises to be a historic showdown.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Simba’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ally, confirmed the team’s readiness.

“Our players are fully prepared physically, mentally, and emotionally. They know what is at stake. We want this final, we want the title, and we want to bring that trophy home,” said Ally.

Ally acknowledged the strength of their Moroccan opponents but made it clear that Simba is not intimidated.

“RS Berkane is a strong team, no doubt. But we are not afraid of their record or their reputation. This is our time. We say   we’re bringing it home,” he declared.

He called on all Simba supporters to stand behind the team and treat this final as a collective mission.

“This is more than a match; it’s a battle. I’m asking every Mwanasimba to do their part. From wherever you are support, pray, cheer. This is our war, and we must win it together,” he added.

Simba has also announced a series of fan mobilization and community events following their return from Morocco.

Starting May 21, the club will host rallies at Simba Hatari base in Mbezi, followed by the “Tunabeba Fun Run” on May 22 at Agha Khan Beach.

On May 23, the club will make charitable donations to orphanages in partnership with Mo Foundation.

Ticket prices for the return leg of the final in Dar es Salaam have also been revealed: TZS 7,000 for regular seats, VIP C at TZS 20,000, VIP B at TZS 30,000, and Platinum tickets at TZS 250,000.

“We’ve waited 30 years for a moment like this. Let’s fill the stadium, let’s raise our voices, and let’s make history,” Ally urged.
