The much-anticipated final stage of the NBC U20 Premier League is set to kick off from May 19 to 29 at the Azam Complex Stadium in Chamazi, Dar es Salaam, bringing together the country’s most promising young football talent.

According to Clifford Ndimbo, the Media and Communications Officer of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), the tournament has now reached the quarterfinal stage following an intense group phase. The official draw to determine the quarterfinal matchups will be held tomorrow in Dar es Salaam.

We are now heading into the quarterfinals, and the draw will be conducted tomorrow to determine which teams will face each other as we build toward the semifinals and the final,” Ndimbo said.

The format for the next stage of the competition will see the top two teams from each group progressing to the quarterfinals.

These teams will then battle for a place in the semifinals, with the top two eventually making it to the final.

This year’s competition has been particularly competitive, showcasing impressive performances from young players across the country.

Among the teams that have qualified for the quarterfinals are some of the country’s football powerhouses, as well as rising clubs making a name for themselves in youth football.

The eight teams that will compete in the quarterfinals are Azam FC, Kagera Sugar, Dodoma Jiji, Kengold, Simba SC, Fountain Gate, Tanzania Prisons, and Yanga SC.

Each team will be hoping to take one step closer to lifting the trophy and claiming national bragging rights at the youth level.

The NBC U20 League serves as a vital platform for scouting and developing future stars of Tanzanian football.

With the final set for later this month, fans and scouts alike will be closely watching to identify the next generation of talent set to grace the senior level.

As excitement builds, all eyes now turn to the draw, which will shape the road to the 2025 NBC U20 Championship final.
