Simba Queens Assistant Coach Mussa Mgosi and team official Seleman Makanya have each been handed a six-month suspension and fined TSh 1.5 million by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).
According to a statement released by TFF’s Media and Communications Officer, Clifford Mario Ndimbo, the decision was reached following a recent meeting of the TFF Women’s Football Committee, which reviewed reports from Women’s Premier League matches.
The statement revealed that Makanya was sanctioned for assaulting match officials after the game between Simba Queens and Mashujaa, an offense under Article 47(3) of the Women’s League regulations. Mgosi’s suspension and fine were issued under Article 42(2)(1) for misconduct during the same match.
In a separate case, Alliance Girls FC has been fined TSh 500,000 and forfeited their match against Yanga Princess for fielding an ineligible foreign player.
The player, Oruko Amutata Noel, was registered under the false identity of Shamsa Julius and was not part of the team’s official squad.
As a result, Alliance Girls officials Suzana Geofrey (Secretary General) and Oliva Moshi (Team Manager) have each been banned for two years and fined TSh 500,000. Yanga Princess has been awarded a 3–0 victory by default.
Additionally, Fountains Gate Princess has been fined TSh 2 million and has forfeited their match against JKT Queens for refusing to continue the game in the second half.
