Mbeya City Football Club is gearing up for a formidable return to the NBC Premier League next season after securing an impressive second-place finish in the NBC Championship League this year with 68 points.

Ally Mnunduma, the Executive Secretary of Mbeya City, expressed optimism about the team’s prospects.

“We are preparing to make a bold comeback and bring fresh competition to the Premier League. We want everyone to know that Mbeya City is back in action,” Mnunduma said.

He emphasized that the team’s success in the Championship League has set a strong foundation for their Premier League campaign.

“We’ve already demonstrated our competitive spirit in the Championship, and we plan to build on that momentum moving forward,” he added.

Mnunduma also issued a challenge to their upcoming opponents, saying, “We want to assure everyone that we are well-prepared.

Those visiting Sokoine Memorial Stadium should expect a tough match, as we’re ready to compete at the highest level.”

Team manager Mwagane Yeya echoed the sentiment, stating that the squad is fully prepared for the challenges ahead.

“The team is complete, and we are considering adding a few key players to further strengthen the squad,” Yeya revealed. He praised the players’ readiness for the task at hand. “Our players are in excellent form and mentally prepared for the battles ahead,” he affirmed.

Looking to the future, Yeya reflected on the club’s past achievements, saying, “Our goal is to return to the level of success we experienced during the 2011/2012 season and beyond. We are focused on regaining our place among the league’s top teams.”

With a balanced mix of experienced players and promising new talent, Mbeya City is determined to make a lasting impact in the Premier League and recapture the glory they once held.
