Dar City and JKT basketball teams registered impressive victories in the ongoing Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball League, with matches held yesterday at the Don Bosco Court in Upanga.
Dar City delivered a resounding performance, overwhelming Srelio with a 105-32 blowout. Meanwhile, Polisi suffered a heavy 88-55 defeat.
In other matchups, Stein Warriors outplayed Savio with a 93-74 win, and Outsiders cruised past Mgulani JKT, winning 78-42.
In the women’s division, DB Lioness showcased their dominance with a 73-28 victory over City Queens. Kigamboni Queens were handed a 66-36 loss, while Reel Dream fell short against DB Troncatti, losing 67-47.
Speaking after the matches, Haleluya Kavalambi, Technical Director of the Dar es Salaam Regional Basketball Association (BD), praised the high level of competition seen so far in the league.
“We’re seeing an increase in performance levels this season. Teams have come well-prepared and made strong signings,” he noted.
Kavalambi also called on fans and supporters to turn up in greater numbers to enjoy the exciting talent and thrilling action.
“I encourage all basketball lovers to come out and witness the skill and entertainment on display every Thursday through Sunday,” he added.
