Kigamboni, April 19, 2025 — Tandavamba FC has emerged victorious in the highly anticipated finals of the Togabe Ramadhani Cup, securing a dominant 3-0 win over Vijana FC at the Kigamboni Primary School Grounds, bringing the month-long tournament to an exciting close.

The victory crowned Tandavamba as champions of the tournament, which has drawn significant attention within Kigamboni District for its role in promoting youth football and unearthing local talent. Despite their loss, Vijana FC earned a respectable second-place finish, having shown resilience and skill throughout the tournament.

Speaking after the final match, Ramadhani Kimomwe, Marketing Officer of Togabe Super Sembe and representative of the tournament’s main sponsor, reaffirmed the sponsor's commitment to supporting football development in Kigamboni.

“We are here not just to sponsor a tournament, but to nurture and empower the youth of Kigamboni through sports,” said Kimomwe. “Today, we witnessed a level of football that rivals the Premier League — and it came from local, street-based teams. That speaks volumes about the potential we have right here.”

Kimomwe encouraged youth with talent in football and other sports to come forward for support, highlighting Togabe’s open-door policy for talent development initiatives.

On his part, Ramadhan Shauritanga, Chairperson of the Kigamboni District Football Association (KDFA), extended his gratitude to Togabe and called upon other companies and stakeholders to emulate the example and join hands in supporting sports initiatives in the district.

“This is the kind of energy we need in Kigamboni. These young players have given us a thrilling final, full of competition and passion. Our goal as KDFA is to support talent right from the grassroots,” Shauritanga said.

Coach Kondo Shaban of Tandavamba credited his team's success to discipline, teamwork, and thorough preparation. According to him, each player executed their roles perfectly, contributing to the team’s overall dominance.

“It was a competitive match. Both teams came prepared, but our tactical discipline and squad strength, especially in terms of our player selection, made the difference,” said Shaban.

Meanwhile, Coach Zabron Bendera of Vijana FC acknowledged the defeat but pointed to defensive errors as a key factor behind their loss.

“We had a game plan, but unfortunately our defense didn’t hold as expected. Still, it was a good match, and my boys fought hard. Football is a game of mistakes, and Tandavanga made the most of their chances,” Bendera remarked.

The Togabe Ramadhani Cup has not only highlighted the sporting spirit of Kigamboni but also strengthened community bonds and provided a platform for talented youth to shine. Organizers hope the success of this year’s tournament will inspire even greater participation and sponsorship in future editions.
