RC Chalamila inspects development projects in Kibamba constituency

 On April 9, 2025, Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila visited several development projects in Kibamba Constituency, Ubungo District.

 During the visit, he emphasized the need for high-quality standards and effective management to ensure that the projects deliver value for money and are completed on time.

 "We must prioritize quality in every project we undertake, ensuring they serve the community for years to come and are completed within the scheduled timeframe," he stated.

 He also expressed his gratitude to President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for allocating significant funds to facilitate these important development initiatives. 

"I would like to thank President Samia for the financial support that has made these projects possible. It's crucial that we use these funds wisely to create sustainable and impactful projects," Chalamila added.

While inspecting the construction of the mother and child building at the Mpiji Magoe Health Center, Chalamila reiterated the importance of delivering durable projects that would address the needs of mothers and children. 

"The goal is to provide long-lasting infrastructure that will ease the challenges faced by mothers and children in our communities," he emphasized.

 At the Goba Kulangwa Secondary School, he also highlighted the importance of security as the country prepares for the general elections.

 "As we approach the elections, it's essential to ensure the security of our communities, and that includes expediting the construction of the Tegeta A Police Station," Chalamila instructed.

During the visit, the Mayor of Ubungo Municipal Council,  Juma Japhari Nyaigesha, urged residents and businesspeople to fulfill their tax obligations, stating, "Taxes are the foundation for funding these development projects, and we all have a responsibility to contribute." 

The In-Charge of the Mpiji Magoe Health Center, Hereswida Cosmas, provided an update on the progress of the mother and child building, assuring that construction was on track.

 "We are progressing well, and I am confident that we will complete the building on time," Cosmas said.

Chalamila also took time to inspect the Kibamba Water Project and the Goba Kulangwa Secondary School project, confirming that both were progressing according to plan.

 In the afternoon, he held a public meeting in Saranga Ward, where he listened to the concerns of local residents.

 "We hear you, and we are committed to resolving the challenges you're facing," Chalamila assured the community. Among the issues raised were poor road conditions, challenges with TASAF, water shortages, and delays in the completion of a health center. In response, Chalamila announced, "By the end of next week, 100 million Tanzanian shillings will be allocated to complete the health center."

 He also addressed other concerns, reassuring residents that President Samia is actively working to resolve all issues. "President Samia is committed to making sure that all the challenges facing this community will be addressed," he concluded.
