Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy,  Dr. Doto Biteko, has praised the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for organizing a special tour for ambassadors to visit some of Tanzania’s top tourist attractions in Zanzibar, Arusha, and Kilimanjaro.

Dr. Biteko shared this today, April 11, 2025, in Dar es Salaam while launching the ambassadors' tourism trip. He represented Prime Minister  Kassim Majaliwa at the event.

“Tanzania is one of the best places for tourism in the world. I believe this tour will give you the chance to visit many of our beautiful places, including Mount Kilimanjaro – a famous mountain for climbers worldwide. We also have wildlife parks like Serengeti and Ngorongoro,” said Dr. Biteko.

He added, “You’ll also visit Stone Town in Zanzibar and learn a few words in Swahili. We have many lakes, rivers, and historical areas like Bagamoyo and Maasai villages that are rich in culture.”

Dr. Biteko also said that the ambassadors are key to building strong relationships between Tanzania and their countries. After this visit, he hopes they will become good promoters of Tanzanian tourism.

Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism,  Ambassador Pindi Chana, said the ambassadors will tour important attractions such as Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Cosato Chumi, said that after visiting Arusha and Zanzibar, the ambassadors will help promote Tanzania to the world.

The Comoros Ambassador to Tanzania and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps,  Ahmada El Badaoui Mohammed Fakhi, said that in the 11 years he has been in Tanzania, this is the first time such a tour has been organized.

“On behalf of all the ambassadors, I thank the Tanzanian government and especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for making this possible,” said Ambassador Fakhi.
