A total of 65 Tanzanian companies involved in food and beverage production participated in the Taste and Bloom Festival, held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Parthenon Hall in Upanga, Dar es Salaam.

The weekend event brought together a wide range of food and beverage stakeholders, offering a vibrant platform for showcasing local products and fostering collaboration within the industry.

Speaking to the media, Madame Sona Shah, Director of Artisan Market the event organizer said the aim of the festival was to unite the community and provide a platform for farmers and entrepreneurs to showcase their products.

“For some time, we’ve noticed that many farmers and small businesses lack platforms to present their work. This event offers an opportunity for them to connect with the public and industry stakeholders,” she explained.

Artisan Market has been operating in Tanzania with a mission to promote local creativity, arts and crafts, and to support the growth of local industries.

Although this was the first edition of the Taste and Bloom Festival, Madame Sona revealed that the event will now be held twice a year.

She also shared plans to expand the festival to other regions, including Zanzibar, in order to reach more communities and open up further opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
