By Flora Mkoloma

Yanga SC is determined to make history as the first team to win at the newly constructed Airtel Stadium in Singida during its grand opening on March 24.

The Tanzanian champions will face Singida Black Stars in a special match to inaugurate the stadium.

According to Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ally Kamwe, the team is set to depart from Dar es Salaam on March 22 ahead of the highly anticipated fixture.

“Our squad has been training intensively in preparation for this historic match, and all players who are not in the national team camp have already reported.

We are focused on becoming the first team to win at the new stadium and setting a record,” Kamwe stated.

He further assured that the squad is in top shape and ready for the challenge.

For their journey, Yanga will travel by SGR train to Dodoma, where a fleet of vehicles will be waiting to transport them to Singida.
