The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, hosted a Business and Investment Forum between Tanzania and Egypt earlier today at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dar es Salaam.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of the President’s Office, Planning, and Investment, Hon. Stanslaus Nyongo.

The forum aimed to strengthen trade relations between Tanzania and Egypt, focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, health, energy, and construction.

"This collaboration is expected to stimulate economic growth by opening new doors for investment and trade in both countries," said Nyongo.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation,  Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two nations.

"Tanzania and Egypt have a history of cooperation, and today’s forum is a key step toward enhancing mutual development," he noted. "We are confident that this initiative will yield positive results for both governments, businesses, and investors."

Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abd Elaaty, also shared his optimism about the partnership.

"This collaboration is designed to boost the economies of both nations by fostering joint trade and investment opportunities," he said. "By working together, we aim to create a brighter future for the citizens of Tanzania and Egypt."

To ensure the success of this collaboration, TIC has outlined comprehensive strategies to support investment growth.

"We are focused on monitoring investment trends, simplifying investment procedures for Egyptian investors, and creating more platforms for business exchanges between our two countries," stated TIC’s representative.
