Arusha City residents have expressed admiration for innovative Clean Cooking Energy products showcased at ongoing exhibitions in the region, commending the government’s efforts to promote sustainable energy solutions ahead of International Women's Day.

On March 6, 2025, visitors flocked to the Rural Energy Agency (Rea) Pavilion to witness cutting-edge technologies in Clean Cooking Energy stoves. The showcased products, designed to protect the environment while simplifying daily cooking routines, received glowing reviews from the public.

Ester Mwasigo, a visitor from Dodoma in Arusha for the Women's Day celebrations, praised the stoves for their efficiency and eco-friendliness.

“These stoves are a game-changer,” she said. “The technology is impressive, and it’s something every household should embrace. Traditional charcoal is costly and harmful to our environment, but these stoves offer a sustainable solution.”

Mwasigo urged fellow residents to visit the exhibition and adopt Clean Cooking Energy products as a show of support for President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s vision of expanding access to clean energy.

“The government’s initiative is commendable. Educating the public about these products is a critical step toward healthier and more affordable cooking methods. I am ready to become an ambassador for this technology in my community,” she added.

Mwajuma Tarek, a resident of Muriet in Arusha City, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the positive shift clean cooking energy can bring to women’s daily lives.

“Switching from traditional cooking methods to these new technologies is transformative,” she said. “With the government’s ongoing campaigns, more women are being motivated to adopt these stoves, bringing us closer to a future where every household uses clean energy.”

The exhibitions, held in the lead-up to International Women’s Day, align with the government’s broader agenda to promote sustainable energy access and empower women through improved household technologies. The ongoing campaign is expected to boost awareness and drive the adoption of clean cooking solutions across the country.
