Mashujaa FC has officially announced the appointment of Salum Mayanga as the new Head Coach, succeeding the former coach Mohamed Abdallah 'Bares.'
Mayanga, who joins from Mbeya City, a team currently competing in the NBC Premier League and having advanced to the quarter-finals of the CRDB Federation Cup, is set to lead Mashujaa into the next phase of their season.
In an exclusive interview with The Respondent Online, Simon Rugegera Zebedayo confirmed that Mayanga has signed a six-month contract, which will run until the end of the current season.
Rugegera further revealed that the team is currently in a training camp in Kigoma, where they are preparing for the upcoming CRDB Federation Cup and NBC Premier League fixtures.
With the contract signed, Mayanga is set to begin a rigorous training program aimed at enhancing the team's performance, starting today, March 21, 2025.
Mashujaa’s next challenge will come against Pamba Jiji in the CRDB Federation Cup, scheduled for March 29, 2025, at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.
Furthermore, the club is gearing up for an NBC Premier League clash against Fountain Gate on April 5, 2025, also at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.
Currently sitting in 10th place on the league table, Mashujaa has played 23 matches, winning five, drawing nine, and losing nine, accumulating 24 points so far.
