Enock Koola, a development advocate from the Vunjo constituency in Moshi District, Kilimanjaro Region, has commended President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her remarkable leadership over the past four years.

He highlighted her efforts in steering Tanzania’s economy through challenges, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"President Samia took office at a critical time when Tanzania's economy faced significant hurdles due to the global pandemic. However, she implemented strategic policies that not only stabilized the economy but also set the foundation for sustainable growth," Koola stated.

One of her notable initiatives was the promotion of the digital economy and e-commerce, ensuring key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and transportation were incorporated into economic recovery plans.

These measures played a crucial role in revitalizing various industries and fostering resilience.

Koola further praised President Samia’s commitment to attracting both foreign and domestic investors by improving the business environment.

"She has championed good governance, reduced bureaucracy, and eliminated barriers to doing business, which has led to increased investments in vital sectors such as energy, mining, and manufacturing," he noted.

Agriculture, a key pillar of Tanzania’s economy, has also benefited from her leadership.

President Samia has promoted modern farming technologies, expanded access to agricultural loans, and improved infrastructure such as crop storage facilities, ensuring farmers gain better yields and market access.

On the international stage, President Samia has made significant strides in strengthening Tanzania’s diplomatic ties.

Through active engagement in international forums, state visits, and participation in organizations like the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU), she has reinforced Tanzania’s global presence.

"Her efforts have strengthened relations within East and Southern Africa, as well as with Western nations like the United States and the United Kingdom," Koola emphasized.

As President Samia marks four years in office, her leadership continues to shape Tanzania’s economic and diplomatic landscape, positioning the country for further growth and development.
