The Sixth Phase Government, under the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has continued to create an enabling environment for small-scale miners by ensuring access to capital, licenses, and modern technology to improve mining activities.
Speaking in a special interview, Amagite Mkumbwike, the owner of Kwasakwasa Mine in Msesule Village, Mapogoro Ward, Mbarali District, Mbeya Region, praised the government's efforts in supporting small-scale miners, including ensuring favorable market prices for gold.
She expressed her commitment to supporting President Samia by creating employment opportunities for young people and giving back to the surrounding villages.
According to her, the government has made many processes easier, including ensuring high gold prices in the market so that small-scale miners can benefit.
She added that their mining operation has been contributing to the community by purchasing school supplies for students pursuing higher education and acquiring an irrigation machine for the village.
Meanwhile, the mine’s supervisor, Edward Daud, urged the government to continue fostering a friendly investment environment to create more jobs for young people.
He emphasized the importance of trustworthiness and hard work, encouraging young people to be diligent and fully committed when given responsibilities.
