The Mwanza Regional Volleyball Association (MWAREVA) is set to conduct its general elections on February 22-23, 2025, in Mwanza.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, MWAREVA Secretary-General Frednand Malima confirmed that nomination forms are now available, with the deadline for collection and submission set for February 18, 2025.
Malima emphasized that the elections aim to appoint leaders who will later serve as voting delegates in the Tanzania Volleyball Federation (TVF) general elections scheduled for December this year.
He called on volleyball stakeholders to step forward and apply for leadership positions within the association.
"We welcome individuals with a genuine passion for advancing the sport in the region to seize this opportunity and contest for leadership roles," Malima stated.
Available positions include Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary, and Treasurer, with nomination forms priced at TZS 30,000.
Additional positions include Commissioners for Children's and School Development, Women's Affairs, Teachers, Referees, and Technical and Competition Management.
