Azam FC claimed a commanding 2-0 victory against KMC in an NBC Tanzania Premier League clash today at the Azam Complex, Chamazi, Dar es Salaam.
The match was an intense battle with Azam showing their dominance throughout the game.
The star of the match was Gibril Sillah, who netted both goals for Azam.
His first goal came in the 27th minute, a well-placed shot that gave his team a vital lead.
As the second half progressed, Sillah doubled Azam's advantage with another composed finish in the 66th minute, effectively sealing the three points.
The first half saw Azam in control, despite KMC's efforts to break down their defense.
Azam managed to edge ahead with a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break, thanks to Sillah’s earlier strike.
In the second half, KMC made several attempts to get back into the game but struggled to break down Azam's solid defense.
The hosts continued to apply pressure and were rewarded with Sillah’s second goal, pushing them further ahead.
KMC's offense was unable to respond, leaving Azam to cruise through the final moments of the match with a 2-0 lead.
The match ended with a final score of Azam 2-0 KMC, with Azam continuing to build momentum in the league, having put together a well-rounded performance that demonstrated both attacking flair and defensive resilience.
