Dar es Salaam Sinotruck Company Ltd has demonstrated its commitment to the Tanzanian community by donating essential items to children from ten orphanages and care centers. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to celebrate and support underprivileged groups in the country.

Speaking at the event, Sister Jane Shao, Supervisor of the participating care centers, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sinotruck for its generous contributions. She highlighted the company’s dedication to improving the lives and aspirations of children, even though Sinotruck's origins are outside Tanzania.

“I appeal to Sinotruck stakeholders to help address the challenges we face, such as limited spaces for students in both boarding and day schools. These children require special care, and your continued support is invaluable,” said Sister Shao.

Sister Shao manages Longturn Children Care Centre, which the Goodith Association of Chinese operates. She revealed that ten care centers were part of the event, which featured entertainment and games for orphans and underprivileged children, all dressed in white t-shirts and green Sinotruck caps.

The Longturn Boarding Primary School in Chamazi, Dar es Salaam, run by the Goodith Association, provides education and care to underprivileged children. Sister Shao emphasized the challenges of accommodating children from diverse areas, which often strains their resources.

“When children come to the center, they adapt to our culture. We focus on their holistic development, including education, arts, sports, and cultural enrichment,” she explained.

Sister Shao further highlighted the importance of fostering skills in science and technology, which she described as essential drivers of progress for the nation and the world.

Participating centers included Umra, Udo, Hiari, Chamazi Orphanage, Kind Heart, Longturn Boarding, and Hiari B. Although some centers could not send representatives, they will still receive their share of the donations.

The event was designed to bring together underprivileged children, orphans, and special groups, emphasizing their education, shelter, and development in science and technology.

The Sinotruck country manager underscored the company’s longstanding leadership in truck manufacturing in the region and its commitment to giving back to the community.

“Children are the future of our society. By donating, we contribute to their access to education, sports, and technology, paving the way for better job opportunities and an improved quality of life,” said the manager.

This initiative underscores Sinotruck’s dedication to creating a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children, reaffirming its role as a socially responsible corporate entity.
