President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania has applauded Simba and Yanga football clubs for their remarkable performances in international competitions held yesterday.
Simba SC earned praise for advancing to the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Bravos do Maquis in Angola.
"Continue working hard to provide entertainment to our nation and proudly fly our flag on the international stage," said President Samia.
Yanga SC also received accolades for their impressive 1-0 win against Al Hilal in the CAF Champions League, marking another milestone for Tanzanian football.
"You are bringing joy to Tanzanians and promoting our country's name on the global stage," President Samia added.
Following these victories, both Simba and Yanga have been rewarded with TZS 5 million each through the "Mama’s Goal" initiative, further celebrating their success.
