The Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Force, in collaboration with local citizens, continues to ensure the city remains secure, fostering an environment where economic, political, and social activities thrive without interruption.

The police remain vigilant, working tirelessly to prevent criminal activities and maintain order across the bustling metropolis.

As soccer fever grips Dar es Salaam, the focus has shifted to the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, where two high-stakes matches are scheduled on January 18 and 19, 2025.

On Saturday, Yanga of Tanzania will face off against Algeria’s MC Alger, while Sunday’s clash pits Tanzania’s Simba against Algeria’s CS Constantine. Both matches, kicking off at 4:00 p.m., promise excitement and fierce competition.

In anticipation of the games, the Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Force has ramped up security measures to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all attendees.

Every detail has been meticulously planned to maintain safety inside and outside the stadium before, during, and after the matches.

Roads leading to the stadium will be tightly monitored, with restricted access for vehicles lacking special permits. Spectators are advised that weapons of any kind will not be permitted within the stadium, except for authorized personnel tasked with maintaining security.

Police officials have urged fans to embrace the spirit of soccer with unity and calmness, steering clear of any actions that might disrupt the harmony of the matches.

This call for peace comes with a wish for success to both Yanga and Simba, as they represent Tanzania on the international stage.

Meanwhile, the Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Force has turned its attention to a separate issue that has drawn significant public concern.

Residents of Yombo Dovya in Temeke have reported cases of skin irritation allegedly linked to the use of contaminated oil.

Authorities, in collaboration with other legal entities, have launched an investigation into these claims. Early findings are being reviewed, and further action will be taken as the probe progresses.

With security, vigilance, and public trust at the forefront, the Dar es Salaam Police continue their mission to uphold safety and order across the city.
