The Daladala and Wahenga teams have secured their spots in the semifinals of the Top 8 Cup, having triumphed in their opening two matches.
The hunt is now on for two more teams to join them in the semifinal stage, with crucial games set to take place today and tomorrow.
In today’s match, Mbeya Boys will face off against Eagle, while Mwongozo will take on Prisons tomorrow at the Mji Mwema Stadium.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, competition coordinator Issa Yahya "Kiiza" stated that the results of today and tomorrow’s matches will determine the final teams to advance to the semifinals.
He highlighted the intense competition, noting that each team has thoroughly prepared to secure a spot in the next stage.
“By the end of today and tomorrow, we will know which teams have qualified for the next round, allowing us to set the schedule for the semifinal matches,” said Kiiza.
Kiiza also urged fans to come in large numbers to the stadium to support their teams, encouraging the players to demonstrate their best competitive spirit.
