Yanga triumphs over Mashujaa with a 3-2 victory at KMC complex

Young Africans SC (Yanga) secured a hard-fought 3-2 win against Mashujaa FC in an exciting NBC Tanzania Premier League match played today at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.

The match began with Yanga taking an early lead in the 7th minute through Prince Dube, who showcased his striking prowess by adding a second goal in the 33rd minute.

Mashujaa, however, kept their hopes alive when David Ulomi scored just before halftime in the 45th minute, sending the teams to the break with Yanga holding a narrow 2-1 advantage.

In the second half, Dube stole the spotlight again, completing his first hat-trick of the season in the 53rd minute to extend Yanga's lead to 3-1.

Mashujaa fought back in the 62nd minute with a well-taken goal by Idrisa Stambuli, but despite their efforts, they could not find an equalizer, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of Yanga.

Speaking after being named the Player of the Match, Dube expressed his gratitude to the team, management, and fans for their unwavering support.

“This victory is for the players, fans, and management who have supported me throughout. A special thanks to Ally Kamwe for his encouragement, which has kept me motivated,” said Dube.

He further emphasized his commitment to helping the team secure more points and advance in the league standings.

Meanwhile, Ulomi reflected on his stunning long-range goal, expressing satisfaction with his contribution to the game.

With this win, Yanga climbs to third place in the league with 30 points, while Mashujaa sits in seventh place with 19 points.
