StarTimes has unveiled a special documentary series showcasing cultural exchanges between China and Africa, aimed at deepening understanding and strengthening relations.
The series, titled "A New Era of China Insight," highlights inspiring stories of Africans and other international personalities—including artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries—who have found inspiration and opportunities within the vibrant landscape of modern China.
According to StarTimes’ statement to the media, the series explores themes of cultural exchange, innovation, and environmental stewardship. It sheds light on how individuals have thrived in rapidly evolving environments while fostering deeper cultural appreciation.
"This series goes beyond storytelling; it’s a celebration of cross-cultural understanding and collaboration,” the statement read. “Through shared experiences, it invites viewers to appreciate the rich heritage of modern China while exploring opportunities for partnership and friendship."
The documentary also highlights how African culture is thriving beyond the continent, reflecting mutual enrichment and global cultural dynamics.
Bob Wang, Project Manager at StarTimes, announced that the series premiered in late November and will continue airing throughout December on StarTimes’ ST Zone and ST Novela E channels. It is also available on the StarTimes ON app.
To complement the broadcast, StarTimes has planned various public events and exhibitions in major cities nationwide, celebrating themes from the series.
"These events aim to engage communities, spark dialogue, and foster appreciation for diverse cultures while enhancing the viewing experience and promoting a spirit of collaboration," Wang said.
