Singida Black Stars triumph 2-1 over Dodoma Jiji, reignite fans' hopes

Singida Black Stars made the most of their home advantage, securing a 2-1 victory over Dodoma Jiji in a Tanzania Premier League match played today at the CCM Liti Stadium in Singida.

The win has brought joy to their fans, who had been longing for a positive result after the stadium underwent renovations.

In the 8th and 15th minutes, Singida Black Stars scored goals by international forward Elvis Baranga, while the only consolation goal for Dodoma Jiji came in the 58th minute from Yasin Mohamed.

Speaking after the match, Singida Black Stars’ spokesperson Hussein Massanza said that the game was tough.

He mentioned that the league is challenging, and they have not yet reached their goals for this season.

"This victory has brought happiness to our fans and given us great hope. The team ahead of us is just three points away, so we are fighting to get back to the top," he said.

Singida Black Stars is currently in 4th place, having played 13 games and accumulated 27 points, the same as Yanga. Dodoma Jiji is in 10th place with 14 matches played and 16 points.
