Simba Queens and JKT Queens were unable to outshine each other in a thrilling Women’s Premier League match held today at the KMC Complex, Mwenge, Dar es Salaam.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams battling hard but failing to secure a decisive victory.

Simba Queens took an early lead in the 45th minute, with a well-placed goal from Elizabeth Wambui. The goal stood firm as the halftime whistle blew, giving Simba Queens a 1-0 advantage at the break.

However, JKT Queens came back strong in the second half, equalizing in the 67th minute. Donisia Minja was the hero for JKT Queens, netting the equalizer to make it 1-1.

At the end of the match, JKT Queens’ head coach, Ester Chabruma, shared her thoughts on the outcome. She expressed gratitude that her team managed to secure a point, despite not winning.

“We accept the result and are happy with the one point. Today, we saw areas that need improvement, and we will work on them in training ahead of the next match,” said Ester.
