Young Africans (Yanga) managed to secure a 1-1 draw against TP Mazembe in their third match of the CAF Champions League group stage, which was played today in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
TP Mazembe took the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal from Cheick Fofana, which remained the only goal of the first half.
The home team controlled the game for most of the first half, with Yanga struggling to break through their defense.
In the second half, as the game reached its final moments, Yanga found their equalizer. In the 90+4 minute, Prince Dube scored a vital goal to level the match at 1-1, ensuring the teams shared the spoils at the final whistle.
With this result, the standings in Group A of the CAF Champions League are as follows: Al Hilal leads the group with six points from two wins, followed by MC Alger in second place with four points from one win and one draw in two matches.
TP Mazembe occupies third place with two points, having drawn twice and lost once. Yanga remains at the bottom of the group with one point, having drawn one match and lost two in their three games.
