Year in peace and unity.
During a press conference on December 23, 2024, in Dar es Salaam, Chalamila
extended his gratitude to the media for their unwavering cooperation throughout
the year.

emphasized by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania,” he remarked.

assured residents that the police force and security agencies are working
diligently to ensure safe and enjoyable celebrations. However, he urged the
public to remain vigilant and responsible.
“The
police and security agencies are fully committed to ensuring that these
holidays are celebrated safely and joyfully. Let us enjoy responsibly, keeping
an eye on our children, ensuring they stay away from unfamiliar places, and
avoiding excessive partying that could create opportunities for crime,”
Chalamila advised.
The
Regional Commissioner highlighted the role of caution and moderation in
fostering peace during this festive period. He encouraged all citizens to
prioritize safety and act prudently while celebrating.
In
his address, Chalamila also took the opportunity to discuss ongoing road

contractors working to enhance the city’s infrastructure, reiterating the
government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for its citizens.

celebrations serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold
harmony and ensure that the holidays are a time of joy and togetherness for
all.
